We love our podcasts, 38% of us listen to podcasts everyday. But like so many things that go popular in culture, we tend to bandwagon. Eveyrone has their favorites but I think that it is important to keep variety in rotation. I've put together a few podcasts that get me through the week, the gym, and sometimes, the weekend. I think you should give them a try as well.
While looking for story telling podcasts, I stumbled on The Stoop this March.
Lara Wexler and Jessica Henkin host live story telling sessions in Baltimore. These episodes are recorded for the podcast.
These live story telling sessions make up a podcast of curated stories told by citizens in Baltimore, Md. Each episode has a theme and consists of two stories that last about 7-10 minutes each.
The Stoop brings together stories from the African Diaspora into perspective and truth.

If you listent to The Read you will love The Friend Zone. Dustin Ross, HeyFranHey & Assante explore where pop culture and zen living meet. Its preventative medicine from a "musty brain".
I love that this podcast speaks about wellness in language that is easy for everyone from city dwellers to rural folk to understand. I find a balance of zen lifestyle and the need for Love and Hip Hop "messiness"
John Biewen, with guest Chenjerai Kumanyika explore what is "whiteness" in America. The challenge and give historical context on how the identity of white became what it is today.
I am not a repeat listner of many podcast episodes but I went back for multuiple listens on this series. This is an important listen, especially today, when white supremacy is being challened so prevelantly in the culture.
