At this age, I am leery and cautious of converssations with my parentals( that includes Aunts and Uncles). Amidst the pleasentries of catching up and jabbering about the going ons in our lives, the conversation usually dives into the same direction. The conversation forward dives to a point where I am asked " How many children do you want to have?"I usually respond with boastful laughter.
It tickles me how creative they've gotten. "How many children do you want to have?", Are you on track for your 5 year plan?", "Do you still talk to that one ex?", "What kind of wedding do you want?", or my favorite "Havent heard from you in a while, seeing anyone new? Is he niiiice?"...all of these mean the same thing: "When are you gonna get married and bake these babies?!"
To all of those questions, my only response is: "its simply not my priority right now." The only things I am concerned with putting on my hand is a a fresh manicure and possibly an iPhone X.

Not to dismiss my loved ones, I know they mean well and only want to see me in a happy relationship, but i got this. Marriage is nothing light to be entered into, no committment is. Cultivating a unique relationship with my first life partner, myself is important before I bring another life force into this space.
Therapy is expensive and I am not trying to pay loads of money just to find out, I hopped into something sooner than my spirit, emotional and physical bodies were ready.
As the knowledgegeable SZA once said "I belong to nobody | Hope it dom't bother you | You can mind your business".
