As you all may already know, I did not get tickets for the On The Run Tour. I made a public announcement of it. I chose to save my $300 - $500 dollars and bought a solo vacation. What a stupid idea.
On Sunday April 15, 2018 Beyonce headlined Coachella and streamed it live @ 2am CST.
My greatest concern that there would not be anything 'new' to watch. Queen Bey proved me wrong AGAIN. She brought us a full band, a new sorority to pledge, ΒΔK. (Beta Delta Kappa). She closed the festival in most beautifully blackest way possible.
Beyonce's Homecoming was an lovesong to the HBCU experience. She began with Lift Every Voice and Sing (Black National Anthem), dropped Swag and Surf mid performance (Black call to arms), a full black band, the return of Les Twins, and so much more.
I sat in my chair and stared in awe. Every time I stopped to try and join in the performance, Bey did something different, rearranged her entire set and wowed me. Anyone who has tickets to On The Run Tour II will have their asses handed to them in performance.
