February is my favortie month. I do not know any black person in the world who does not look forward to February. Personally, I dont feel like it a new year until February rolls aound. It is essential to start the year on a black foot. Thats right, the year does not start until February.
As a Black American, I know that February is officially acknowldge as the time to remember and appreciate African Ameircans for the tons of contributions they have made to society. Black History Month began as Negro History Week by Carter G Woodson and evolved into Black History Month during the American Civil Rights Era.
In the past 30 years, Black History month has become a worldwide celebration for everyone of the African descent diaspora. We celebrate our history and present strides in excellence.
